Yes, you are seeing correctly. This is Grady hanging with Scott. Usually when Grady hits the couch he gets an, "Oh crud, wrong human" look to his cute little face. But today he just sat right down and made himself at home.
After a year of living almost solely downstairs, Grady has become more bold the past few months and started living upstairs too. For those of you who know Grady, you know that he's a pretty big scaredy cat. This willingness to be upstairs with Dakota has been a huge step!
Unfortunately, I was pretty engrossed in the movie we were watching and missed getting a shot of the nose-to-nose exchange between Grady and Dakota. I'm pretty sure it was something like:
"Hey, Grady! Great to see you! You're my pal! Wanna play?! Uh, wait a minute...get away from MY human!"
"HISS...take your stinkin' human. I'd rather sit on this half-wall and look down on all of you anyway!"
And thus ended the fleeting moment of guy power on the couch.
In unrelated news-
Congrats to Mizzou for their 69-17 win over Nevada. Can't wait to see the annual MU-KU game this year.
And huge congrats to the Northwest Bearcats for making an ugly game look good in retrospect. I hope the Buffalo Bills understand what they got in Xavier Oman because we at Northwest sure know what we lost!
Northwest managed to scratch and claw their way to a 42-35 win over Missouri Western, their rival from St. Joe. At times they were behind, at times they were barely ahead, at times I'm not sure they had real players on the field...
But in the very end, we got an incredibly timely interception at what felt like Mo West's 1/2 yard line with 1:03 left in the game. There were a couple of good runs, an intentional delay of game, and two knees to finish off with a hard fought win.
They're on the road for the next three weekends; however, I'm personally looking forward to heading to Warrensburg in October for the NWMSU-UCM game. Central very nearly won last year; I expect it to be close again this year.
Hope all is well with you.
